About the Event
The Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra Foundation invites you to join other HRO alumni/ae in an evening of conversation with former HRO member Scott Yoo AB ’93.
Get a sneak peak of Scott’s upcoming series on PBS’s Great Performances Now Hear This (premieres September 20th) and hear about his multi-year journey across Europe putting together the four-episode first season of a series that merges music, storytelling, travel and culture as he chases the secret histories of some of the great works of Vivaldi, Bach, Scarlatti, and Handel.
A violinist as well as a conductor, Scott will also share a performance of Bach’s Chaconne in D Minor, regarded by most to be the greatest work for solo violin, after letting us in on a secret code embedded in the work’s score.
And there will be ample time, both before and after the program, to mingle and toast the end of summer with your fellow Metro NY HRO alums!
The event is free for you and a guest but you must register in advance.
If you registered previously for the event, you do not need to re-register; however, if your plans have since changed, please let us know.
